Yorkshire Status: Fairly widespread resident.

This is a moth of open woodland where the larvae feed on red campion, and less frequently on white campion and bladder campion. It is sometimes seen in gardens and occurs in fairly small numbers all across the county. Numbers and distribution seem to be stable in Yorkshire.

Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: Found fairly commonly where red campion occurs in all five vice-counties, and has also been recorded from bladder campion in VC63 and probably white campion in VC64. Often found flying around the foodplant at dusk.
