Yorkshire Status: Rare and very local migrant/wanderer.
Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: This has only been recorded once in Yorkshire, caught by B. R. Spence in the Rothamsted Insect Survey trap (trap 131) operated at Spurn (VC61) on 16th August 1972 (BRS). Most frequent in the south of England, there are scattered colonies all around Britain. These are mainly on the coast except in the area of London and the Home Counties (Skinner, 1984).
2012 (CHF): There has been a handful of further records mostly along the coast with three recorded at Spurn in 2003.
