Yorkshire Status: Scarce and very local resident.

Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: First taken at Spurn (VC61) in 1948 (YNU, 1970). This species is still found frequently at this location and there are also now three additional localities.

VC61. Spurn, no change in status over past twenty years, numbers caught at light each year vary between two and twenty (BRS); Muston near Filey, one netted at dusk on the Carrs, 22.7.1979 (PQW, TAP), one in MV trap 25.7.1985 during a period when movement of many species seemed to be taking place, suggesting it may usually be present but static (PQW).

Argus 47, 2001-2004:

VC64. Sandy Bank Wood, 8.8.1988 (LVR). NEW VICE-COUNTY RECORD.

2012 (CHF): The Spurn colony has increased in numbers since 1989 and there have been further records in other parts of VC61. Recorded now regularly in the south-east of VC63.

Recorded in 23 (12%) of 200 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1948.
Last Recorded in 2022.
