Yorkshire Status: Scarce and local migrant/wanderer.
Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: A migrant species which only rarely reaches as far north as Yorkshire. There have been a few records since the last list (YNU, 1970), all in the centre or south of the County.
Beaumont, 2002: This immigrant moth has been recorded more frequently during the past decade, 1996 being a particularly good year, and is almost as regular inland as in coastal localities. VC65. East Tanfield, 1.10.2000 (B&SM). NEW VICE-COUNTY RECORD.
2012 (CHF): We receive records of this sporadic migrant in most years, usually along the coast but sometimes inland.
