Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: Has spread slightly over the last few years and is now found as far north as Flamborough in VC61 and from VC62 where it had not been recorded for many years (Porritt, 1883-86).
2012 (CHF): All recent records have been from upland grassy areas in the west of the county. This moth is sometimes confused with Common Carpet.
