Yorkshire Status: Very rare and very local. No recent record.

Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: This species was included in the last list (YNU, 1970) as not having been recorded since Porritt (1883-86). Porritt later suggested in his supplement (1904), that it had better be regarded in error unless confirmation was forthcoming. Since this did not happen we cannot now include this as a definite Yorkshire species.

Argus 52, 2006: An unexpected addition to the Yorkshire list. A rare migrant with few records before this year. Along with many other migrant species, there were several records in the south of the country in 2006. VC61. Spurn, 27.7.2006 (BRS). NEW COUNTY RECORD.

Current status (CHF, 2011): Spurn 2006. A rare migrant with scattered coastal records. A former resident in the Fens in the 19th century.
