Yorkshire Status: Uncommon and thinly distributed or restricted resident.
Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: Records are fairly thinly scattered across all five vice-counties, it is locally common in areas where wild rose is found. The early flight period of this moth (March and April) may mean it is under recorded.
2012 (CHF): Widespread in small numbers across the county in woodland, hedgerows and gardens. Numbers are stable.
