Yorkshire Status: Uncommon and fairly widespread resident.
Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: Quite local but found in all five vice-counties and sometimes frequent away from heavily populated areas. In the east of the County it seems to occur where heath bedstraw, or occasionally lady's bedstraw are found (PQW pers. comm.), but foodplant preferences over the rest of the County are not known.
2012 (CHF): Still widespread across the county. Most records come from upland areas. There has been a reduction in numbers in recent years.
