Yorkshire Status: Wanderer - possibly on the verge of colonisation.

This is a mostly moth of south and south-east England but it has been expanding its range in recent years. We have just two records, one at Potteric Carr in 1996 and one at Cottingham in 2019. The larae feed on Traveller's Joy Clematis vitalba which is commonest along the magnesian limestone belt and in the south-east of the county, so any further records will be limited by the availability of its food plant. Because of the possibility of confusion with Waved Umber, we need to see a photo if you catch one.
