Yorkshire Status: Rare and local resident.

Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: There have recently been several records for this species from vice-counties 61, 63 and 64. Previously it had not been recorded since 1914 (YNU, 1970), although Walsh (1956) mentions several 'of late years'.

Argus 52, 2006:

VC64. Ellington Banks MoD, 28.6.2006 (CHF, JCW). NEW VICE-COUNTY RECORD.

2012 (CHF): Local in the county in damp woodland and sallow scrub. There are recent records from all five VCs. It is only ever encountered in small numbers and may not come strongly to light.

Recorded in 59 (30%) of 200 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1883.
Last Recorded in 2022.
