Yorkshire Status: Rare and very local resident.

Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: This species has reappeared at several localities in the last few years. Buckthorn, the larval foodplant for several species in this group, is at its north-eastern limit in Yorkshire and is scarce in many areas. This may be the limiting factor on their distribution.

2012 (CHF): This moth remains extremely local in the county but we have a few recent records from areas with buckthorn along the magnesian limestone belt.

Recorded in 18 (9%) of 200 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1883.
Last Recorded in 2022.
