Argus 81, 2017: As predicted in the 2016 report, Cloaked Carpet has now arrived in the county. The larvae feed on stitchworts and its typical habitats are old hedgerows and the margins of damp mossy woodland. Whilst a little similar to some other Carpet moths, it is fairly distinctive with a double-toothed outer edge to the dark central cross band. We are likely to see more records in the coming years.
