Yorkshire Status: Scarce and local resident.

Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: This species was only reported from two sites previously (YNU, 1970). It is now known to be more widespread where red bartsia grows.

2012 (CHF): Local in the centre and east of the county where its foodplant occurs. Numbers have reduced a little recently.

Argus 66, 2012: A moth of the lower ground where red bartsia grows. A good year and an overdue addition to the VC65 list.

VC65. Nosterfield LNR, 3.8.2012 (CHF, DMS, AJW). NEW VICE-COUNTY RECORD.
