Yorkshire Status: Rare and very local resident.

Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: This moth was officially added to the Yorkshire list in 1987 with the capture of a specimen at Askham Bog (VC64) by P. Forder and N. Gill. It has since been revealed (RSK pers. comm.) that a larva of this species had been recorded here previously but the record was kept in confidence. More larvae have since been found at the same site.

2012 (CHF): There have been several more larval records at Askham Bog on Common Meadow-rue and a single record of larvae from Strensall Common.
