Yorkshire Status: Common and fairly widespread resident.

This is a common and widespread species all over the county, and in fact all over the country wherever Foxgloves grow. Take care not to confuse it with the less common smaller and neater-looking Toadflax Pug. If you are not sure which you have caught, it is likely to be Foxglove Pug, especially early in the season.

Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: Recorded from all five vice-counties and consistently found in small numbers where foxgloves occur in the hillier areas of the County and more rarely elsewhere.
