Yorkshire Status: Scarce and local resident.

Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: Fairly well distributed in vice-counties 62 to 65 wherever rowan occurs in woodland or on moors.

2012 (CHF): There has been a decrease in records of this upland moth and like many moths with a north-westerly distribution it may be suffering from recent climatic change. There is certainly no shortage of its foodplant in upland areas.

Retained Specimen / Photograph will be Required.
