Yorkshire Status: Scarce and thinly distributed or restricted resident.

Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: Occurs locally in vice-counties 61 to 64, most common in the south of the County.

Argus 47, 2001-2004: VC65. Foxglove Covert, 11.6.2004 (CHF, JCW, SPW). NEW VICE-COUNTY RECORD.

2012 (CHF): This species seems to be doing quite well in the county especially in woodland with plenty of field maple. It is absent from the north-west.

Recorded in 102 (51%) of 200 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1880.
Last Recorded in 2022.
