Yorkshire Status: Scarce and fairly widespread resident.

Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: Generally very common on heaths and moorland throughout the five vice-counties. Many forms are found of this attractive day-flying species.

2012 (CHF): This species continues to be common on heather moorland and lowland heaths across the county with no recent changes in numbers or distribution.
