Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: The only Yorkshire specimen of this moth was captured at Spurn (VC61) on 15 or 16 June 1951 by S. M. Jackson (YNU, 1970; Sutton & Spence, 1947a). It is normally found as far up the east coast as Lincolnshire but no other specimens have been found in our County.
2012 (CHF): This moth has become more regular at Spurn in the last ten years. An inland record at Wheldrake in 2010 was followed by more in 2011. The source of these records may the sedum matting on the roof of the reserve base as this came from Norfolk.
