Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: Occasional specimens of this moth are found in the County but it has never been clear whether these have been residents or immigrants or whether accidental or deliberate introduction has occurred. There are a few recent records, one of which is known to be an importation.

2012 (CHF): Since 2004 this species has been resident in the south-east of the county with increasing numbers of records, mostly at Spurn. In 2010 there was spread up the coast to Tophill Low, Atwick and Catwick plus one near Doncaster. The only spread in 2011 was one at North Ferriby.
