Yorkshire Status: Uncommon and fairly widespread resident.
Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: Formerly rather local in Yorkshire but now being quite widely recorded in vice-counties 61 to 64. There is only a single VC65 record.
2012 (CHF): Widespread across the county but much less common in the west. Numbers have increased a little recently. Two distinct broods, the second being a little smaller.
