Yorkshire Status: Scarce and thinly distributed or restricted resident.

Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: A very local moth which has turned up several times since 1970. Whether it has increased or is just better recorded is uncertain but there are no recent records for VC63. The records given from Headingley (VC64) are of interest, the site (Meanwood Ridge) being only about two miles from Leeds city centre.

Argus 47, 2001-2004:

VC63. Rossington, 23.5.2001 (RIH). NEW VICE-COUNTY RECORD. VC65. High Batts, 23.5.1984 (SPW). NEW VICE-COUNTY RECORD.

2012 (CHF): This species has become more common over the last twenty years but it is curiously almost absent from VC63 and adjacent parts of Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.
