Yorkshire Status: Uncommon and local resident.

Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: Very local in Yorkshire and often associated with sandy soils.

Argus 47, 2001-2004: VC65. Sedbusk, 22.7.2002 (MS). NEW VICE-COUNTY RECORD.

2012 (CHF): Commonest in coastal areas, particularly at Spurn, but the numbers are reduced from the 1970s when there were sometimes counts of up to 45 in a single trap. Very local in small numbers in inland areas.
