Yorkshire Status: Very rare and very local resident.

Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: Now restricted to the south, west and north-east coasts of Britain this species was said to be not uncommon at Scarborough (VC62) by T. Wilkinson (Porritt, 1883-86). It was last recorded in Yorkshire from Spurn Point (VC61) in August 1949 by H. N. Michaelis, when one moth was found on ragwort (Michaelis, 1951).

2012 (CHF): There have been further records from Spurn in 2005 and 6.
