Yorkshire Status: Uncommon and local resident.

In 1883 Porritt said that Archer's Dart was "a coast species generally but occasionally found inland". We would still describe it in the same terms. 93% of our records come from Spurn, though numbers in recent years seem to have tailed off a little. It also turns up at Teesside on a regular basis, though in smaller numbers. We have quite a lot of records from the north and east of VC61, in particular at Wolds Way Lavender at Wintringham where double figure counts are not uncommon, the most being an impressive 30 on 20/7/22. Elsewhere is it rare. It occasionally turns up in the east of VC63, but it has not been seen in VC64 for over 60 years.

Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: There are few recent records. This species is very local in Yorkshire except on the coast.
