Yorkshire Status: Very common and fairly widespread resident.

Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: Apparently a species of fairly open situations (though not arable sites, PQW). Also quite often recorded in suburban areas, which probably resemble lightly wooded, parkland habitats. Quite frequently recorded in all five vice-counties.

2012 (CHF): This species is fairly common and widespread across the county in a variety of habitats. Numbers and distribution are stable.
