Yorkshire Status: Uncommon and fairly widespread resident.

Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: Previously reported as 'Widely distributed but evidently not as common as might be expected' (YNU, 1970). This species has now been much more frequently recorded, especially in the east of the County.

Argus 47, 2001-2004: VC65. High Batts, 1995 (JCW, SPW). NEW VICE-COUNTY RECORD.

2012 (CHF): Doing well and widespread across the county. Numbers seem to have increased a little recently.

Recorded in 138 (69%) of 200 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1883.
Last Recorded in 2022.
