Yorkshire Status: Fairly common and fairly widespread resident.

Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: Recorded widely in vice-counties 62, 64 and 65 but usually in small numbers. Apparently rather less common in vice-counties 61 and 63 although the foodplant (ash) is frequent throughout.

2012 (CHF): A common moth, widespread across the county. Numbers are stable and the distribution has not altered recently.
