Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: Quite widely distributed and sometimes locally common in suitable damp habitats.
2012 (CHF): Still widespread all over the county but numbers have decreased recently and it is quite uncommon in much of VC63 where it is rather local. It can be locally common in damp grassland, eg 113 at Foxglove Covert, Catterick on 22.6.2007.
