Yorkshire Status: Uncommon and thinly distributed or restricted resident.

Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: Sporadically found in marshy areas but usually only as singletons.

VC65. Hutton Conyers 9.8.2003 (CHF). NEW VICE-COUNTY RECORD.

2012 (CHF): This species seems to have expanded in numbers since the mid-1990s. Although much commoner in wet habitats it does wander to other areas and can be encountered over much of the county. It can occur in good numbers in some marshy sites, eg 28 at Bishop Monkton on 21.7.2006.
