2012 (CHF): The relief map shows clearly that this is a moth of lowland Yorkshire where it is recorded widely wherever reedmace (Typha) grows. It is well known for wandering and can turn up in areas far from suitable habitat. Numbers are healthy and have grown since the mid 1990s though it is usually trapped in small numbers.
