Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: Fairly widespread and frequently recorded from all five vice-counties. As elsewhere in Britain it appears to be associated with hay, both during harvesting and in storage.
2012 (CHF): Common and widespread across the county in two large broods though it can turn up at any time between February and November. Numbers may be augmented by immigration.
