Yorkshire Status: Scarce and local migrant/wanderer.
Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: Several of these rare immigrants were caught in 1985, previously not recorded since Porritt (1883-86).
Argus 47, 2001-2004:

Argus 52, 2006: A quite unprecedented influx. Before this year there had been 25 Yorkshire records. In 2006 there were 257 records of 405 moths spread widely over all five VCs. One at Otley on 24.6.2006 (AW) gave no warning of what was to come. The influx started in early August with a peak in mid-September and the last of the moths were reported at Haxby (TJC) and Knaresborough (SR) on 28.10.2006.
2012 (CHF): There has been no recurrence of the amazing events of 2006 with none at all recorded in 2007 & 8 and records in single figures in the following years.
