Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: Several new localities have now been found for this species. However, it has still not been rediscovered at Askham Bog (VC64), its original Yorkshire locality (Porritt, 1883-86).

2012 (CHF): Porritt described this species from Askham Bog in 1883 where it flies on sunny afternoons and just before dusk but it has not been seen there for many years. It is most often recorded from Strensall Common but there are also recent records from Skipwith and Allerthorpe Commons where it appears to be resident. It has not been seen at Thorne Moors since 1970. There are occasional scattered records from other parts of the county.
