Argus 47, 2001-2004: VC61. Kilnsea, 11.9.2002. gen. det. HEB (BRS). (Spence & Beaumont, 2003). NEW COUNTY RECORD.

Current status (CHF, 2011): NEW COUNTY RECORD - Spurn 2002. A Nycteoline species was trapped on 9th September. Initially thought to be Oak Nycteoline it was photographed and released. Further examination of the photograph suggested the moth was Eastern Nycteoline and remarkably what was presumably the same moth was re-trapped on 14th September. Genitalia examination proved it to be Eastern Nycteoline, a migrant moth new for Britain. Two specimens from Kent in 1993 and 1999 were retrospectively proven to be this species.
