Yorkshire Status: Very rare migrant.

The only confirmed British record was found in a moth trap at Wintersett Country Park on 3/9/2022. A full account appears in Atropos 72:36-39. It had previously languished in Appendix B of the British list on the basis of a moth in the BMNH labelled "New Forest, 1905, E. Morris" and two other possible old records, all of which were thought to be unreliable. Our moth was probably a migrant from central Europe or Scandinavia. It looks like a very attractive version Oak Nycteoline and was dissected to confirm its identity.
