Yorkshire Status: Scarce and local resident.

Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: Very local in eastern VC61 and VC62 but also now recorded from the south of VC63, the first from this area for many years. P. Q. Winter records larvae on tufted vetch and wood vetch.

2012 (CHF): Until 2008 this was a rare moth in the county with scattered records from the east and south east. A major expansion in south Lancashire then spilled over into the west of VC63 and spread north and east across the county leading to 23 records in 2010 and 41 in 2011. We now have records from all five vice-counties.
