Yorkshire Status: Fairly common and thinly distributed or restricted resident.

Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: Widespread and often abundant throughout all five vice-counties.

2013 (CHF): An unmistakable moth, common and widespread across the county. The only confusion species, Adela croesella is much smaller. Seen by day in dappled sunshine in woodland but also coming to light.
