Yorkshire Status: Uncommon and thinly distributed or restricted resident.

Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: Previously only recorded from lowland sites. This species has now been taken much more widely in the County.

2012 (CHF): Fairly well distributed in a variety of habitats but numbers seem to have declined a little in recent years. Uncommon in VC63, particularly in the west. It can be locally common in wooded areas in the north of the county, eg 46 at Foxglove Covert on 11.6.2004.
