Yorkshire Status: Rare migrant.
Our first record of this uncommon migrant was at Spurn in 1992. The next did not arrive until 2000, but we now have 21 county records (to the end of 2023), the majority being in the south-east. Sometimes it can be imported as a larva or pupa on flowers and some records may have come into the county this way. The main confusion species is Tunbridge Wells Gem which can look remarkably similar. | Retained Specimen / Photograph will be Required. | |
