Yorkshire Status: Rare and very local resident.

Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: A single old record which is well to the north of the recorded range of this species in Britain and upon which some doubt must be cast.

Argus 52, 2006: There was previously only a single unconfirmed record from York made prior to 1883. VC61. Spurn, 6.8.2006 (BRS). FIRST CONFIRMED COUNTY RECORD.

Argus 69, 2013: All previous recent records have been from VC61. VC63. Connisbrough, -.4.2013 (THa). NEW VICE-COUNTY RECORD.

Argus 81, 2017: A 19th century record from York (vice-county unknown) is unconfirmed. The first confirmed record was in 2006; during the past decade it has become more frequent and is now of annual occurrence.

VC62. Wykeham, 15.2.2017 (AR, JHo); New Skelton, 31.3.2017 (IKe). NEW VICE-COUNTY RECORD.

VC64. Askham Bryan, 5.8.2017 (DL). NEW VICE-COUNTY RECORD.

Argus 90, 2020: Since the first modern record in 2006 this moth has occurred widely and with increasing frequency and has now extended its range to all five vice-counties.

VC65. Hutton Conyers, 20.10.2020 (CHF). NEW VICE-COUNTY RECORD.
