Yorkshire Status: Scarce and local resident.

Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: All records are from inland localities where the species is presumably associated with thrift growing in gardens, there are no records from coastal areas.

Beaumont, 2002: This moth has been much more widely recorded since 1989. VC61. Bridlington, 30.8.1995 det. HEB (ASE), 2.7-1.9.1997, 28.7.1999 (KAB, ASE), Spurn, 11.8.1997 (BRS). NEW VICE-COUNTY RECORD.

VC62. Appletree Village, York, 21.7.1991, 14.9.1991 (MRB); Haxby, August 1994 det. HEB (TJC); Guisborough, 22.8.1995 det. HEB (PFo). NEW VICE-COUNTY RECORD.

Argus 56, 2008: Regularly recorded in the south and east of the county, the earlier record from VC65 listed below was inadvertently omitted from the 2004 report.

VC65. Nosterfield NR, three 11.8.2004; Ballowfields NR, 18.7.2008 (CHF, JCW). NEW VICE-COUNTY RECORD.
