2013 (CHF): A very local moth of damp areas in the county where the larvae probably feed on water mint. The white eyecaps and the oblique brown stripes on the white wings are characteristic. All records since 2000 have been from Staveley Nature Reserve.
Argus 87, 2019: Although occurring very thinly in all five vice-counties only VC64 has more than two records in total. This moth is shown as occurring in VC65 on map 116 in MBGBI vol. 1, (1976) but the record below is the only one for which we have data.
