Yorkshire Status: Scarce and local resident.

Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: Formerly regarded as scarce it has been recorded widely and fairly commonly in vice-counties 61 and 63 since larvae were found in seed pods of common birdsfoot-trefoil in 1980, this appears to be the main foodplant in Yorkshire. Rather infrequently reported from vice-counties 62 and 64 and not recorded from V65.

Argus 81, 2017: A widespread and often common moth, now recorded in all five vice-counties.
