Yorkshire Status: Rare and very local resident.

Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: Widely recorded and often common in all five vice-counties.

2013 (CHF): Possibly the most attractive member of this genus. The characteristic pale patch at the base of the wing separates it from other confusion species. Thinly scattered in the north and west of the county where the larvae feed on wild strawberry and water avens.
