Beaumont, 2002: This moth has been recorded more frequently during the past few years and is probably now resident in the southern part of vice-county 63. VC62. Rossington, 18.7. 1990 (RIH); Thorpe Salvin, 21.7.1992; Roche Abbey, five 28.7.1992, (RFB, JAN); Anston Stones Wood, 15.7.1994 (HEB); Potteric Carr, 18.7.1998, 16.7.2000 (RIH); Wintersett Country Park, 12.8.1999 det. Argus 47, 2001-2004: This moth is now recorded widely and regularly in vice-counties 61 and 63, in VC61 sometimes commonly. Records from vice-counties 62 and 64 are infrequent…..; there is presently no record from VC65.
Current status (HEB, 2011): The first county records were from Spurn (VC61) in 1963 and 1987. During the 1990s it was recorded more frequently in the south of VC63 and a northwards range extension took place into vice-counties 62 and 64.
Argus 81, 2017: This moth has become widespread and locally common throughout Yorkshire during the past twenty years and is now found in all five vice-counties.
