Yorkshire Status: Very rare and very local migrant/wanderer.

Argus 47, 2001-2004: This moth was first recorded in Britain as recently as 1996, many records have been from indoors suggesting an imported origin, but there is an increasing evidence that it is becoming established. VC61. Spurn, 15.8.2004 (BRS). NEW VICE-COUNTY RECORD. VC63. West Melton, one indoors, 5.3.2004 (HEB). NEW COUNTY RECORD.

Current status (HEB, 2011): First recorded in Britain in 1996 with increasing numbers from the end of the decade, considered an adventive species as many early records were indoors but there have been a number of light-trap captures in recent years. The first Yorkshire examples were indoors at West Melton (VC63) and at mv light at Spurn (VC64) in 2004 with further moths at Menston (VC64) in 2009 and near Richmond (VC65) in 2010. Likely to be encountered more frequently in the future.

Argus 81, 2017: Only the sixth Yorkshire record but it has now been found in all five vice-counties.
