Yorkshire Status: Uncommon and local coastal resident.

Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: Local on the coast. A recent inland record is of interest, the only other inland records are from the Breck sands of Norfolk and Suffolk (Goater, 1986).

Argus 47, 2001-2004: A characteristic moth of coastal sand dunes that is common in the Spurn area. The following is the third inland record in the past twelve years, these inland moths are much smaller than coastal ones.
