Yorkshire Status: Scarce and local naturalised resident.

Syn. D. mutatella (Fuchs, 1903)

Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: The meagre evidence available suggests that this may be a more frequent species than D. abietella (Denis & Schiffermuller) in Yorkshire.

Beaumont, 2002: There are now records of this moth from all five vice-counties.

Recorded in 39 (20%) of 200 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1982.
Last Recorded in 2023.
