Yorkshire Status: Rare and very local resident.

Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: Rather thinly recorded in vice-counties 61 to 64 although probably under-recorded as it is seldom encountered outdoors. Most records come from flour mills or flour stores but it has also been reared from oatmeal and stored barley.

Argus 47, 2001-2004: There are few recent records of this moth that was formerly described as a pest in grain stores and flour mills. Although in different vice-counties the two localities listed below are not far apart and suggest a common origin for the moths.
